The RAAS Magazine » Cover
last updated: August 18th, 2008
The cover of the RAAS Magazine is intended to capture the attention of the consumer and all others who come across it. By staying true to this policy it allows the RAAS Magazine a longer shelf life in the homes and businesses and ensures our advertisers lengthened brand awareness within the community. Whether it is on a magazine stand, retail shelf, coffee table or inside a mailbox; local residents, consumers, and visitors to the community are targeted.
We are passionate about our cover as well as all of the pages inside our high-quality, glossy, color publication and for this reason along with many others the cover of the RAAS Magazine will never be a coupon style advertisement. A professional picture taken at a local business location may be used from time to time in conjunction with the Featured Business Premium Ad Option (this is at the sole discretion of The RAAS Magazine) and the featured business advertiser will incur an added fee for this option.
Most months a photograph taken within the area by a local photographer is featured on the cover of the RAAS Magazine. Credit and our appreciation are both shown to the photographer by providing the chosen photographer's name and website address on the cover of the issue.
We invite all local photographers to GET INVOLVED by submitting any picture taken locally that they feel we should consider for the cover.
If you are or know of a local photographer that has taken a photograph we should consider for the cover... we invite you to GET INVOLVED and let us know.

August/September 2008 Cover Photograph
Photography by: Diego Alvarez de Toledo
The August Cover of The RAAS Magazine was a very difficult yet easy
choice to make; we wanted to use an image that said "Enjoy the
Summer" ...without reading the words.
The month of August is actually the National back to school month...
August is also the only month without a major (religious or federal)
holiday in the United States and it means that summer is almost over
(Autumn Begins: September 22, 2008 at 11:44 am EDT)
This was our effort at trying to motivate men, women, family & friends
to take some time away and go to the beach; enjoy the scenery, the sun,
the water, the sand, the music, the food, the drinks, the conversation,
the people... just take it all in and enjoy every second.
Summer, is the warmest time of year with the longest days; it is a
very important season for the social agenda of individuals. Leisure
tasks, tourism, outdoor activities and other hobbies are increased
dramatically; due to the favorable conditions and the number of people
on vacation.
In this issue we featured our first map (Going South... Fun in San
Diego) custom created for The RAAS Maps by: BigCityMaps.com.

Diego Alvarez de Toledo was the photographer and we look forward to
considering other photographs taken by Diego for future covers.
